Notifications, shown under the Notifications icon (), are alerts for you about actions that have occurred since your last visit.
When you have a notification, the Notifications icon has a dot () to show that there are one or more notifications waiting for you.
Select the icon to see and open any notifications. Notifications include such actions as:
- New messages in your inbox
- Contact requests
- Letters of Reference received
- A document or college list shared with you
- Feedback left on a shared item
Once you act on a notification (for example, by reading the new message), it won't be shown in the Notifications icon.
